To sustainably create Economically Empowered Communities through participatory household based Poverty Alleviation Interventions that are in harmony with Nature, Culture and consistent with applicable Laws. It is the ultimate wish of the founders to progressively transform RIPA into a sustainable member-owned business enterprise for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.

OUR VISION

Sustainable Alleviation of Poverty in Rubirizi District and other Rural Communities in Uganda.

STRATEGIC GOAL

RIPA’s overarching Goal is Socio-Economic Empowerment of Rural Communities in RubiriziDistrict, thus creating qualitative difference in people’s lives. The strategic goal of RIPA is in linewith Rubirizi District Development Plan II (2015 – 2020); Uganda’s NDP II (2015 – 2020) and iswell aligned to EAC Agenda 2030; AU Agenda 2063; and United Nations SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs); 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 17.

OUR PROJECTS

LiveStock Farming

Includes breeding and rearing of goats, cattle, pigs, poultry, rabbits.

Aquaculture

Targeting lakes and wetlands for fish farming through various methods such as fish cages, ponds and conservation of preferred specifies to support local market needs

Apiculture

Apiary projects will target forests and areas bordering the Queen Elizabeth National Park; specifically keeping “stingless bees”

Agribusiness

For general agricultural produce, commercial mushroom growing and commercial banana products.
